Panagiotis Kounadis writes about the song "Minore tou teke" (2010, 7: 27): "It is the top instrumental song of rebetiko’s discography. It was recorded together with the song 'Mystirio Zeimpekiko'.
The release of the record in Greece in 1932 was a key event and contributed to the entrance of the bouzouki in discography. It influenced many of the well-known composers of rebetiko – Spyros Peristeris, Vassilis Tsitsanis, etc. – and Panagiotis Tountas used musical phrases in his song 'To minore tis tavernas'. The different labels with which it was released in America are due to the continuous re-releases of the record due to its success.
I. Chalikias recorded two more songs, 'Rast tou teke' and 'Mourmouriko', and a post-war record with the song 'O xeftilis' and 'To trikouverto' (Athena record No. 1903, USA, 1950 (?)."
