It is one of the few recordings of an improvisational character in 78 rpm discography. Giorgos Papadakis notes in this regard (see more in "Giorgos Papadakis, Ta dimotika ton diskon", http://www.music-art.gr/content/view/39/34/lang,el/): "The field that folk music’s Greek discography has completely ignored is the instrumentalists remarkable ability to improvise, a performance that is, for music and musicians, a reservoir of renewal and a proof of prosperity and vitality. Improvisations and improvisational forms, such as 'Skaroi' and 'Moirologia' are very few in 78 rpm discography. One reason was the limited track time the record was offering, given that it takes more time for an improvisation to be performed. Another reason was the limited public interest in such recordings. These very few recordings of improvisations do not represent in the slightest the real abilities of the musicians of the time.
The label of the record reads "Dimodes" ("Folk-like").
