The song comes from Nikos Chatziapostolou’s - Antonis Chatziapostolou's operetta "Giola", which premiered on 14.10.1931 at the "Mondial" theater by the Makedos troupe.
According to the newspaper "Patris" (issue No. 1311, Friday 30.10.1931, page 2): "The libretto of the operetta, as it has already been announced, is an adaptation of the film 'Katigoroumeni egerthiti', and we owe it to the renowned playwright Mr. Antonios Chatziapostolou, the composer's brother, as well as to their operetta 'Proti Agapi'." Regarding the libretto of the operetta, the article refers to the French film "Accusée... levez-vous!" which premiered in France on September 12, 1930, and was screened in Greece at the "Pantheon" cinema, in Athens, in December of the same year.
The label of the record reads "Serenata".
