This four-page musical score includes the song “Xenychtides” (Night Revelers) from the revue “Peirasmos 1920” (Temptation 1920), with music by Ermis Pongis and text and lyrics by Aimilios Dragatsis. The revue was first presented on 17 June 1920 at the Panorama Theatre by the Samartzis troupe.
The cover of the score is monochrome and decorated with a graphic design. It includes the names of the creators, the publisher are printed on the cover, along with the title of the revue from which the song originates.
This is a musical score with a system of three staffs (two for piano and one for voice). At the bottom of the pages of the musical text appears the code “Σ. 48 Γ” (S. 48 G.). The third page bears the monogram of Richardos Fretsas and the monochrome back cover coantins a full-page advertisement of the Gaitanos music publishing house.
For further information on the song and its relationship with other "national" repertoires, examined in the ongoing research project "Cosmopolitanism in Greek Historical Discography", see here.
