The four-page musical score in question contains the songs “I zoi mou gela konta s' esena” (My life smiles close to you) with music by Takis Morakis and lyrics by Giorgos Oikonomidis and Kostas Pretenteris, and “Eisai gia mena to pan sti zoi” (You Are Everything to Me in Life) with music by Morakis and lyrics by Giorgos Oikonomidis.
On the monochrome cover, which is decorated with a graphic design by an unidentified artist and a photograph of the group Trio Kitara, the song titles, composer, lyricists and publisher are listed. It also states “The sweetest song of the winter season at ‘Old Athens’” and bears the designation “Tango-Habanera”. On the monochrome back cover, the continuation of the sheet music for the second song is included, along with the monogram of Richardos Fretsas.
The musical text of the song “I zoi mou gela konta s' esena” is included in a musical score with a three-staff system (two for piano and one for voice), accompanied by the lyrics as well as chord symbols in European notation. At the bottom of the pages of the musical text appears the code “Μ. 2616 Γ.”
The song was recorded by Sotos Panagopoulos and Kaiti Episkopou in Athens in February 1954, accompanied by the orchestra of Takis Morakis (“I zoi mou gela konta s' esena”, His Master's Voice OGA 2082-1 – A.O. 5158).
The song is also found in Bulgarian discography. In 1954, Lilyana Boneva (Лиляна Бонева) recorded it in Greek, accompanied by a guitar sextet conducted by Pavel Takev (Китарен Секстет Рък. Павел Такева), under the title “Живота Ми Е Щастлив” (My Life Is Happy, Balkanton 3080-3 – 1701 and Радиопром 3080 – 1701). On the record label it is described as “Greek tango” (греческое танго).
It should also be noted that the other side of the record includes another Greek song, recorded by the same performers in Greek, titled “Сладки Очи” (Sweet Eyes, Balkanton 3084-3 – 1701 and Радиопром 3084 – 1701). This is “Glyka mou matia agapimena” (My Sweet Beloved Eyes) with music by Nikos Gounaris and lyrics by Spyros Charonis. It was recorded in Athens on April 16, 1953, by Nikos Gounaris, accompanied by the orchestra of Michalis Sougioul (Columbia C.G. 3017-1 – D.G. 7011).
